TAX/APPRAISAL DATA UPDATES
How often are the tax/appraisal records updated?
The tax/appraisal records are updated annually, after each county has certified their master tax rolls; supplemental tax/appraisal data is updated as it is available from each county.

COUNTY CLERK DATA UPDATES
How often are the county clerk records updated?
The county clerk records for each county are updated monthly. We receive the data approximately 7-10 days following the end of each month, and it is updated and online within 5 days.

RESIDENTIAL SALES UPDATES
How often are the residential sales updated?
The residential sales are updated as follows:at the end of each week, on the 15th of the month for all transactions which have occurred during the previous 30 days, and on the 30th of the month for all transactions which have occured during the previous 45 days.

SOURCE OF TAX/APPRAISAL DATA
Where is the tax/appraisal data obtained?
County tax/appraisal records are obtained from the individual county tax/appraisal districts.

SOURCE OF COUNTY CLERK DATA
Where is the county clerk data obtained?
County clerk data is obtained from the individual county clerk offices. We provide indexed data only, not document images.

SOURCE OF RESIDENTIAL SALES
Where are the residential sales obtained?
The residential sales are obtained via license from the MLS, from the appraisal districts and from the RDI property datasets.

HISTORICAL RANGE OF TAX/APPRAISAL DATA
How many years of historical tax/appraisal data are on line?
The Real Data/The Real Estate Almanac databases carry historical tax/appraisal data dating from 1988.

HISTORICAL RANGE OF SALES DATA
How many years of historical sales data are on line?
The Real Data/The Real Estate Almanac databases carry historical sales data dating from 1952 to current  for Harris County, and 1985 to current for the remaining counties.

HISTORICAL RANGE OF COUNTY CLERK DATA
How many years of historical county clerk data are on line?
The Real Data/The Real Estate Almanac databases carry historical county clerk data dating from 1985 to current for Harris, Fort-Bend, Galveston, Montgomery and Brazoria Counties.

Does Real Data/The Real Estate Almanac display properties for sale, lease or rent?
Real Data/The Real Estate Almanac displays information on properties that have already been sold. We have no information regarding properties currently on the market for sale, lease or rent.

SUBSCRIBING TO THE SERVICE
What subscription options are available?
You may subscribe in increments of 3, 15 or 30 days, at the rates outlined on the subscription page, or you may subscribe for annual access (The contract for same is available for download from the subscription page).

CONNECTING TO THE SERVICE
What method is used to connect to the databases?
Connection to Real Data/The Real Estate Almanac is web based at www.realdata.net.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO CONNECT
Do I need a special computer/modem/phone line/software to access the databases?
You will need a computer installed with Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, NT, or ME. and JAVA enabled access to the Internet(preferably high bandwidth)

LOG ON PASSWORDS
Do I need special passwords to access the databases?
Yes. Our secure server provides passwords to users who subscribe in 3, 15 or 30-day increments through the Subscribe Page, Once credit card payement has been authorized, the passwords are provided. Users who subscribe annually choose their unique passwords.

FORGOT YOUR PASSWORDS
What if I forget my passwords?
You must contact our office to confirm the information on your account; at that time we will provide you your passwords.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
What methods of payment are accepted for access to the databases?
Users subscribing through the Internet may use VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit/debit cards, as well as bank account debit. Users subscribing on an annual contractual basis may choose from the credit/debit cards listed, bank account debit, or remit by check, money order or cashier's check.
